jiggersaurus.com
Created 05/09/2005
My personal website. Provided an opertunity to design for my own specification. This website is used as a home for discursive articles that I write, and as a gallery for photo's that other people might be interested in. I only completed this website on the 7th of September, and as such there maybe some teething troubles.
I've included a simple CSS based effect, with the domain title and menu staying static in the browser window. This provides the viewer with quick access to the menu all the time, and always having the domain title is a nice touch. This effect doesn't work in Internet explorer, but I have used a hack to get round the fact that IE hasn't utilised the fixed position attribute.
Morrison Associates
Created 01/09/2005
Morrison associates is a management consultancy company based in Aberdeen.
I was asked to create a website to promote the company and the services that they offer. I'm waiting for the remainder of the content, and a final thumbs-up on the design from the client. Due to this fact, please view this as a work in progress. sus-uk.com
Created 21/04/2005
This was my first freelance project that I was given after finished University, the initial plan was for between 10 and 15 pages of information detailing sustainable practices to reduce waste and environmental impact.
This website has grown exponentially and is currently serving 90+ pages of information. The site is running from 5 CSS style sheets and one Dreamweaver template. This set up makes changes to design and non-unique content incredibly easy and quick. For this project I was given the opportunity to do most of the design work in collaboration with the clients, this involved working very closely with them to create the coorporate identity and make sure it works for their perspective viewers.
craftworksdirect.com
Created 15/08/2004
This website was originally set up in 2004 with the intent to grow the site to handle E-commerce. Sadly the client is currently too busy to concentrate on their internet site, and as such the site hasn't been updated since it's initial launch.
This was my last full table based design. The brief was to create a friendly craft themed design that was clear to use. I feel that although there is a distinct lack of content, that the design filled the brief and the site is both friendly and has a nice craft theme.
Jaguar and Land Rover Graduate fair
Created 15/08/2002
While working at Jaguar cars I was asked to take part in a project to encourage applications to the graduate program for the Computer Aided Engineering, and Vehicle crash departments. In this project I was asked to create an external website to promote the open day and flyers to hand out at graduate recruitment fairs.
I saw this project through to the end by taking part in the open day's them selves to represent a new starter, and my experiences. The project was highly successful.
